Streamlining Mainframe Integration

Mainframes are going to be part of the enterprise indefinitely, and so that data must be made available to other solutions, particularly solutions in the cloud.  This is because workloads have changed to power the kind of business systems and customer experiences that are needed in the modern era, and IT departments do not want to directly integrate cloud solutions directly to the mainframe, as this is inefficient, expensive, insecure and low-performance.

To address this, it is key that the information on the mainframe be efficiently and reliably made available in other systems, and kept up to date as possible.  By using change data capture and data-driven event stream transformation, the data can be pushed to any number of systems though Confluent Kafka and make it available so that cloud and other systems can enjoy high-performance, low-cost access to the critical mainframe data.
